Aerobatics! That was a really comfortable KeeXtreme ^^ Actually it wasn’t that crazy, as I’ve thought. On that day I’ve had an appointment with some guys from Focus TV, a German TV production company, which is airing on the biggest channel here. They’ve wanted to do a longer documentary about me at that time. One part of that documentary was a flight with this glider and do some aerobatics.
That happened on an air field in Kamen, Germany. The pilot, named Michael Henke, was a really cool and nice guy, who knew, how to treat the glider properly. I was kind of surprised, that a glider is that quiet, as I’ve never flew with a glider before. But Michael made this “relaxing” experience to something really funny, with loopings and many other things. It was clear: A glider is actually able to do crazy things! 🙂
It was also really interesting, how the parachute in a glider works out. You, or better said, the ripcord is attached to the glider directly. Which means, if there is an emergency, you just gotta jump out of the plane and that’s it. The ripcord gets pulled immediately and the parachute is opening directly. Kind of interesting, but (sadly) I was not able to see that concept in action 😉
After all, this experience was amazing! Thank you very much Michael, that you’ve made this possible!
