Bungee Jumping was the first “extreme” thing I’ve tried out. Oh if I’d known what else was coming 😉
My first Bungee Jump, 2012 in Duisburg, Germany was a real highlight. A lot of my friends were there as well even when the weather wasn’t that good. The sky was very cloudy, but the jump was insanely cool, though! Since then I’ve jumped there about 20 times already, Forwards, Backwards, Dancing ^^°
But sadly, it was just 60 meters. You are not falling long and the kick is not lasting that long. And with time, it got a tiny bit boring. So what was the logical solution to that? Right! I was searching for something higher! In 2013 I got the idea, to do one of the most famous bungee jumps in the world which is also the second highest public platform you can jump off. In the movie James Bond, he jumped down there in the beginning of the movie. We are talking about 220 meter freefall and a huge dam in the middle of the Italian part of Switzerland. Though, there was a huge difference to the jumps I did before. There was always a matt on the ground where you land on smoothly when you’ve finished bouncing. But below this area, there are only rocks. When you’ve finished bouncing, they gonna let down a second rope with a hook. You have to fix it on your gear yourself and then they’re going to pull you up to the platform again.
And I needed to do that with my paws! 😀
Though, it was a an experience I cannot even describe. The people at the jumping spot were super nice and they’ve given me perfect instructions to achieve the jump. And if you looked down at the dam….well, 220 meters are quite high ^^°
The moment, when my feetpaws left the platform was just indescribable. At first it’s like really quiet but then you feel the wind and you fall…and fall….and fall ^^° It takes a few seconds and then you’re going to bounce a few times. Simply amazing! 😀
When the second rope with the hook came down, I’ve had to turn around and hook it up to my gear. And then they’ve pulled me up again 🙂 Just awesome and I would do it again at any time 😀
But even 220 meter are kind of boring at some point. The jump in Switzerland was actually the second highest in the world. So what else is left: The highest Bungee-Jump in the world!
That was 2018 from the Macau Tower in Macau SAR, China. That was by far the farthest location I’ve even been to just because of a jump like that. At the south part of China in the biggest casino city of the world, Macau. With a jump height of 233 meter, another 13 meters on top! But the feeling is completely different, as the next high buildings are around 1km away from the tower, which lets it appear even higher. This jump was just amazing! The highest bungee-jump in the world in fursuit.
Totally worth the trip! :3
